Itinerary

Transfer from Jammu Airport or Railway Station to Katra (approximately 50 kilometers/1.5 hours drive). Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight in Katra.

Early in the morning, proceed to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan, one of India’s most revered pilgrimage sites nestled in the Trikuta mountains near Katra. Located at an altitude of approximately 5200 feet, the journey to the Bhawan spans nearly 12 kilometers from Katra base camp known as Ban Ganga, or 2.5 kilometers from Sanji Chhat, the drop-off point for helicopter pilgrims. To reach Ban Ganga or the Helipad, local auto rickshaws are available round the clock at very affordable rates. Additionally, during the pilgrimage (yatra), facilities such as battery cars, cable cars, ponies, palanquins (palkis), porters, and other means of assistance cater to senior citizens, children, and those with physical challenges. After paying homage at the shrine, if time permits, visit Bhairo Temple before returning to Katra in the evening. Overnight accommodation will be arranged in Katra.

Continue your exploration with visits to the Durgiana Temple, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, and Sadda Pind. At Sadda Pind, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Punjab through traditional performances, folk dances, local handicrafts, songs, stories, and authentic cuisine.
